As leaders, you need to be respected more than liked. All stakeholders look up to the leaders to make the right decisions, though they may be difficult, sometimes even unpopular. For organizations to thrive, tough actions need to be taken. Leaders that strive to be universally liked generally fail as they lose credibility and confidence from some segment. But, those that act for the long-term benefits of an organization are always respected.
